At the early age of five, Mr. Shuen forged an inseparable bond with the violin. He studied under Mr. Ka Wong, a well-known violinist of Macau and under the Associate Conductor of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Mr. Kin Fung Leong.
Macau Young Musicians Competition awarded Mr. Shuen with many prizes for his performances including those for Violin Solos and for Violin Sonatas with piano accompaniment and Melbourne University awarded him their highest honor when he entered the Music Department of Melbourne University in Australia to further his studies under the renowned violinist, Mr. Mark Mogilevski.
Mr. Shuen will perform Brahms's Violin Sonata, No. 1, Shostakovich's Prelude, Ravel's Tzigane and Violin Sonata, etc. His accompanist is Mr. Lio Kuok-man, the gifted pianist of Macau once praised by the famous pianist, Mr. Vladimir Ashkenazy, by saying, "He is full of musical expression."
